Grant jazz as cinema. stunningly produced and performed, with instrumental dynamics that flirt with free, ineffable chaos and abstract vocal melodies that evoke clement memories

radiofan An album full of memories. I felt like I was sitting in the middle of this magical garden, listening to the stories and voices or looking at some souvenir photos. The compositions are full of warmth and cordiality. Favorite track: Ett er nødigt.

Grandma's garden may seem like a normal garden, but it is full of magic. Just about every plant that grows there comes from cuttings she has collected throughout her life. From experiences, travels, and meaningful encounters. In it, you can discover plants that originate from my mom's bridal bouquet, bushes from her childhood home in Lofoten and cacti she stuffed in her purse when on vacation in the Gambia with Grandpa.

I have been inspired by the way Grandma's cuttings grow and become a part of something bigger. For this project, I have collected some cuttings of my own. As in grandma's garden, you do not need to know each story to experience the whole, but look closer and you will find words, sounds and melodies, my grandfather's laughter, and my parents' young and infatuated voices.
